The $145 million Materials Science and Engineering building was completed in June, providing new infrastructure for the University to build on its position as an Australian leader in materials science engineering and research, and related physical sciences.
Enabling Delivery of our Strategy
We will develop robust performance metrics to monitor our progress. Delivering on our ambitious plans will require us to generate additional revenue on a sustained basis. We will therefore focus on potential new income sources in our implementation plan.
UNSW recognised the success and leadership of its most "exemplary" graduates at the 2015 Alumni Awards. Vice-Chancellor Professor Ian Jacobs said it gave him "a glow of pride" to read through the list of recipients from arts, science, engineering, innovation, design, medicine, law and sports. Corrin Varady, joint winner of the Young Alumni Award, founded the World Youth Education Trust - a charity for the education of former child soldiers and disadvantaged youth in East Africa.
